Weimaraners just happen

We were looking for a dog after moving to the horses from a town-house. I grew up with Labradors and later had Great Danes whereas Mélani had two Labradors. After long discussion and serious reading we decided on weimies. I started calling the Transvaal Weimaraner Club and every other source possible. After weeks I got a message that there were people immigrating to the UK and that their dog Cooper was up for adoption. They came to visit and it was a match. Never before had I had or known a dog that would dive into the depths of my soul. Cooper became like a shadow within a matter of days. He would run along the jog cart when I worked the horses and when he got to tired he would catch a ride sitting like a master trainer right next to me. I discovered the pleasures of weimie humor, self mindedness, overwhelming attachment and Cooper jealousy. Whenever I left home Cooper would start howling for hours until I returned. When it got too bad Mélani would call me so I could talk to him on the phone to calm him down.

Cooper re-awakened my deep seated love for dogs which were neglected after many years in the rate race of the corporate world. One morning I awoke with terrible fear that something was wrong because Cooper did not wake me to come in as he usually did. I found him outside swollen badly with torsi. We arrived at the vet too late and he died in my arms. I only had Cooper for six months but his memory will stay fresh forever.

That same day Cooper died I decided facing Mélani would be devastating. I called Rene Minnie the secretary of the TWC and fortunately she had puppies ready. Before the night fell and Mélani returned we had both Kushka and Casey on the land. Mel and Kushka connected like I did with Cooper.

She would raise her on her lap which against my approval proved to make her a very confident and brave dog. She is now 2 years old and ready for breeding. We would like to get access to the "best" mate in the world and would appreciate any advice or recommendations.

It was not too long before jealousy overtook me and I just had to get a dog. Kushka and Mélani are just so close there is very little room for a threesome. I found a puppy from Tolon so Birch Atlanta joined the family as the tiniest pup in the world. She now is almost one and still a thin pup with way too much energy and unreal athletic ability. She told us her name is actually TookTook and so it goes. The two of them go mountain climbing daily with  Mélani and run along with me horse riding and exercising the horses in the jog cart. We can not say that we are breeders yet but we can confess to the Weimaraner addiction.
